It was a busy and fun month. Stephen joined a city softball league with friends from church. We went to the first couple games and loved watching daddy play ball. I was really glad when Stephen mentioned he wanted to join the team. With our stressful busy lives it was nice for him to have something just for him for a couple months. And he was the star player!
It was a huge month for Everett. He started preschool! Having Everett in preschool made a worlds difference in our relationship. I am much more patient with him and understanding of his tiny body and needs. Since starting preschool his mood has been so much better. He isn't as cranky and is overall a much happier little boy. Once preschool started his naps finally ended. That was a little rough on us all for a while. But we got in the swing of our new routine pretty quick. Everett is loving preschool, Mrs. Amy, Mrs. Erica, and all of his new friends.
Hurricane Florence hit and thankfully not bad where we live. It was still a scary day or two. For us it ended up being a nice long family weekend. We were able to donate some supplies to try and help out the many people who had to leave their homes. The worst part about it all for us were the mosquitoes after. Literally thousands of them everywhere. It was the craziest thing. You would go out your front door and it would feel like it was raining but it was mosquitoes. Not just tiny ones either. There were some the size of a quarter. It was pretty wild and miserable.
We got one or two more beach days in and continued taking lots of walks at the duck pond.
