This Halloween I had probably the most fun out of any other year. I wish we could always live the pirate life. When we lived in the Caribbean the name of my blog was pirate life. When Everett said he wanted to be a pirate for Halloween I was stoked.
The Saturday before Halloween was busy. For starters Stephen was on call so I wasn't sure if he would even be around to celebrate at all. Thankfully he didn't get a lot of pages. Everett had a fun party at his friend Chase's house. He had a good time with all of the kids. Our ward trunk or treat was so much fun. I thought it would be fun to decorate our trunk but I decided not to when I found out Stephen was working. Well he didn't know I had decided not to and when he found out the night before the trunk or treat he said it wouldn't be hard to just throw something together. So he just "threw something together" like it was nothing. I helped a little by going to hobby lobby. It ended up looking amazing and it even had the plank to walk across to reach the buried treasure candy.
On Halloween night we were going to take Everett to the city festival we had gone to last year but we were exhausted. We decided to just go trick or treating around the neighborhood. It was so much fun! There were hundreds of kids and families out everywhere. It brought back so many fun memories of being a kid and trick or treating. Everett was so polite at every house saying trick or treat and then saying thank you in his cute tiny voice. By the time we got home his bucket was so heavy he couldn't carry it. We dumped it all out and picked out a few of the best pieces to keep. Everett was most excited about the "Skeetles." Then I took the rest outside and gave it all to the first kid I saw.
