Favorites from 3 to 3 1/2 years old.
I love how the older you get the more fun it is having conversations with you. A lot of the memories I write down about you are things that you say. You have such a funny sense of humor.
One of the funniest things you said for a little while was "Off the beaten path." I hardly know where you come up with things you say. One day you kept singing "Do as I'm doing off the beaten path."
Instead of saying hiccups you say "Hipups."
"Maybe not." You say this all the time instead of no.
I don't remember you getting pink eye but I wrote it down so you must have.
It is a terrible habit but you pick your nose all of the time. One time you picked a brown booger and told me you just picked chocolate from your nose.
You love Mickey and Minnie mouse.
Before we banned you from watching Youtube your favorite show to watch was of spider man driving cars around from the movie cars on these really weird ramps.
You are officially potty trained!
You love your balance bike from your birthday. You ride it just about every day.
When you are pointing to something you say "Right Dare" instead of right there.
You can count to 20 but instead of saying 21 its 11 1, 11 2, 11 3, and so on.
You like it when I read the Book of Mormon story book to you, but I am not a fan because of how violent it is. I tell the stories my own way.
You love working in the yard with dad. One afternoon while out there with him you said "I am Lightning McQueen and you are Mater and we are best friends."
You started putting yourself back to sleep for naps again.
While laying in bed with you one night I said it was time for me to leave. You wrapped your arms tight around me and said "I've got you now." and wouldn't let me leave. Cuddling in bed with you is the best.
You say "Gwabbage" for garbage.
This experience was awful. I took you to the fun gym when Nathan was probably a month or so old. We had been playing for a while and I could tell you needed to go potty. You kept saying that you didn't need to. Finally I forced you into the bathroom and as soon as we got in I could tell you really needed to go and not just pee. Keep in mind this entire time I have a sleeping baby on my chest. I pulled your pants down and hurried as fast as I could to set you on the potty. Then I look down and there is diarrhea all over the place. You pooped all over the floor. Thankfully not a ton on your clothes. I just sat there for a second like what do I do now. Thankfully there was a container of wipes that happened to be in the bathroom. I wiped up the floor for a while and the toilet all while you just kept going in the potty. It was seriously a nightmare. I am happy to say the toilet area looked pretty dang good when we left. But when we got home we all took a nice long shower.
You say "Japonese" for Japanese.
While on a walk you had to duck a few times not to hit a branch. I said good ducking Everett and you said "quack quack quack."
We were close to dads work one day and you said you needed to pee. So I called him and had him come out quick to take you potty. When you got back in the car you said "It's nice in daddies work."
You got in the habit of peeing in the backyard over the summer. One day you peed on the patio which I wasn't happy about. Then you pulled your pants down again and said "I need to poop." I grabbed you so fast and we hurried inside to the toilet.
You say "Double U" instead of W.
Your first imaginary friend is a tiger.
Two of your best friends from church are William and James. Your middle name is William. So now when we ask what your name is you say Everett William James Peirce.
You have started quoting movies like "That happened" from Frozen. And "You promised" from Lion King. And my least favorite thing you say from Frozen is "You're going to kill yourself." Luckily that was only for a few weeks.
Because of my great parenting skills and letting you pee in the backyard whenever you want, we were at the watermelon festival and you started pulling your pants down to pee on one of the vendor tents.
You say "Engine Turtle" instead of ninja turtle.
Your favorite game is go fish.
You have started saying Yes in stead of yeah when asking you a question. You sound like such a proper gentleman when you say it.
When I think you need to pee I say you are dancing. You always reply "No I'm just walking."
While we were at Kohl's you said "They have beds here?? Holy Moly!"
On General Conference Sunday you said "We are going to watch the prophet then football."
"Yemamaid" instead of lemonade.
I asked you to go get something for me and you said "I will in a minute."
You say "Dishindishin Derby" for demolition derby.
When I picked you up from nursery your leader said that you shared with all of the kids and made sure everyone had a toy to play with.
At church you were giving all of the little kids hugs before leaving.
You saw mom and dad kiss and said "Aww." It was pretty sweet.
While trick or treating you saw two people together and said "They are having a date."
Calling skittles "Skeetles."
When the song perfect from Ed Sheeran comes on you sing to it.
You continue to have a love for playing outside. Especially with your cars and trucks in the dirt and water.
This is your first year in preschool and you are having such a fun time with it.
