I used to think going to the fair was one of the coolest things because of the weird excitement I get for people watching and people watching at the fair is the best. Oh and eating tons of complete garbage for your body was also one of my favorite things. Taking Everett and having him old enough to ride big boy rides has topped it all. Everett had a smile the entire time that was a smile of genuine happiness. I couldn't believe how happy I was watching his excitement while he went on monster truck rides and going on his first ever roller coaster with his dad and just loving every second of it. It was so much fun.
To top off the trashy excitement of it all we took Everett to the monster truck and demolition derby too. I thought for sure the demolition derby would be his favorite because of how obsessed he is with the movie cars. But surprisingly or maybe not so surprisingly he loved the giant monster trucks. They were loud and fast and smashed all of the cars. What more could a kid want.
The night ended with fireworks and Everett crying the whole way to the car because he didn't want one of his best days ever to come to an end.
