May was such a crazy month! So many incredible and exciting things happened. First off we closed on our house. We are officially home owners! We got so lucky with our real estate agent. She did such an amazing job finding us the perfect house and we actually live just down the street from her. We love our house so much and have already done so much with it to make it our own. Stephen got to work right away building a work bench for the garage. Then he built a beautiful dining room table. I am loving all of the projects he is coming up with. He is so talented.
We planted a garden in the back yard which is struggling a little bit. We might be over watering it but it has been fun to just experiment with one. I bought a lemon tree for the backyard. I have always wanted a lemon tree and am just loving it! There are quite a few lemons growing on it and its blooms smell amazing! We have been doing quite a bit of yard work as well.
Everett got a swimming pool from papa and nana Peirce for his birthday. We have only swam in it a couple times but Everett loves it! He loves being outside. Every night after dinner we have started just going out in the backyard and playing until bed time. Everett loves his water table and his bubble lawn mower.
We have been exploring our new city a little bit. One Sunday afternoon we found a new park that has an amazing playground and a fun walking trail. Another Sunday afternoon we drove to little Washington and went to goose creek state park. It is on an inlet from the ocean and is so much fun! You can camp and swim there, and its beautiful. Plus there are quite a few walking trails.
Everett made me an adorable oven mitt with his hand print on it for Mother's Day. Stephen and I were out of town but my parents were here with Everett. We traveled so much this month. Stephen and I went to NYC and then we went to Florida for a week and a half to celebrate Stephen graduating medical school. I feel like we completed an entire summer worth of activities just in one month. We are enjoying being back home. But this month was quite an amazing one!
