Everett: Two Years Old

22 Months
Farting during dinner then pretending to fart.
After your pj's are on every night you run into the hallway and smell the wall scent before coming back in and shutting your door.
Starting to say a lot of animal sounds and you make the horse sound for sea horse too.
Giving hugs with arms means you pat our back while you hug us. It is pretty sweet.
When I wasn't feeling well you gave me extra cuddles.
You are such a little snack thief to everyone at the playground and at church.
It is so adorable how you say bye bye.
First dentist appointment and the dentist was so impressed by how you did that he said you made his day.
Lately you only want daddy to put you down for naps.
Agoo is your word for ice cream, ice cream truck, and the mail truck.
When you fall down and we ask if you are ok. Your response is otay
You bloody up your knee almost every day.
Our friend Tabatha who sits with us at church every week wasn't folding her arms during the prayer and you tried to get her to fold them the entire prayer. It was so cute and funny.

23 Months
Talking so much more. Still one word phrases but getting more and more words every week.
Loves to help cook in the kitchen!
I'm going to guess that your favorite color is green and purple. You say them the most.
Have learned and can say almost all of the colors.
Starting to like picking out your clothes.
At the store you will ask to hold something, look at it for a minute, then hand it back and say "back."
loves playing golf just like your daddy.
Laughing after you burp.
Sharing comes so easily for you and it melts my momma heart when your nursery leaders tell me how well you shared with your friends. Especially the kids smaller than you.
For the most part you are super obedient.
Sometimes it is hard to get you to eat but you will always try something once and for the most part eat really healthy.
You wave as you say bye bye.
You started thinking that owls and owies are the same thing.
When reading your alphabet book you think R is your arm.
Costco is caco. I thought it was so funny that you can say it.
Sometimes you'll lay down on the floor and say night night. Especially if there is a pillow or blanket around.
You are always reminding us to say prayers.
You have had probably two tantrums that top all others. One was when I gave you an oreo. But not a second one. The other worst tantrum ever was when we moved into the new house and you were so excited then completely freaked out. I think in tantrum number one you were tired and ready for bed. In tantrum number two we realized really quick you hadn't eaten like all day and was probably starving!

So one of the funniest things that happened this month was you getting in trouble at the beach. Daddy pulled down his sunglasses so you could see his mad eyes telling you what you did was wrong. Then in response you pulled down your sunglasses the same way and looked right at him. Oh my gosh die from laughing.
You running around the house in your diaper wearing your little duck floaty yelling quack quack quack was hilarious.
I still have very little screen time. Probably 30 minutes of screen time a week and that is usually face timing family or watching videos of yourself. Because lets be honest, you are obsessed with watching yourself. Sometimes I wonder if I should give you more screen time to give myself a break but I'm just not ready for it yet.
Where's mom? "Mom!" Where's dad? "Dad!" Where's Everett? Pointing to yourself "Evret!" How big is Everett? "This big!" How strong is Everett? "This strong!" All with the adorable arm motions.
You have started calling a pig, pig which honestly I'm so sad about. You used to make the cutest sound for pig. It was the same sound you would make for the color pink.
Favorite thing ever is you saying papa. Oh my gosh melt my heart into a puddle every time. Grandma and grandpa came to visit and you started calling them nana and papa all on your own. You now call both sets of grandparents papa and nana.
You are really good at saying your name now. It sounds like Evret.
First trip to Disney World and Harry Potter world. You seemed to really like its a small world. And you knew right what to do when we put a wand in your hand. A wizard at heart.
On days I don't want you to pick your own clothes which is most days I let you dress monkey or teddy instead.

I so wish I would remember to write down every little detail of every day so as to never forget just how adorable and funny you are. Family wrestling on the bed is so much fun. Playing under the covers in the tent is the best. Some mornings when I don't want to get out of bed I bring you in bed with me and you play with legos or mr. potato head for a while. Your favorite thing to help cook is cake which is actually just anything we mix in a bowl and then bake. But blueberry muffins are your favorite to help make. You love reading books! We read stories before nap time and before bed every day and night. You are so cute singing ring around the roses. The only part of the song you sing is ashes ashes...Fall down! Then fall down on the bed or floor. You have been really clingy to me lately which I secretly love even though sometimes I say I just want my space. You bring out a million emotions in me every day, some extremely happy that make my heart burst and then some that make me so guilty and just want to cry in the closet. Being a mom is hard work but being your mom is the greatest gift! Your newest phrase you just started saying is no way instead of just no. At least that is what it sounds like and it is pretty cute. Looking at pictures of you just the last week or two you have completely turned into a little boy. My perfect little boy in every way.
