July
You have the most precious little whisper.
I am starting to feel a lot of emotions the closer we get to baby sister coming. When she comes you won't be my littlest baby anymore. I can't handle how fast you are growing up. My favorite time with you is cuddling at nap and bedtime.
You love your brother so much and want to do everything that he does.
I love what I call your Batman deep voice. It is the greatest.
The way you say "right dare" for right there is so cute.
You have a little bit of a hard time with your s's and it is so cute.
Whenever we go out for ice cream you always ask for chocolate.
When you wake up and I ask how you slept you always say "good." Then I ask if you had any dreams and you always say "yes" and that it was "outside swinging."
You are so polite. You have a hard time remembering to say please but you always say thank you and you're welcome.
August
You skipped 2T clothes and went straight to 3T. It is a little sad how big you are getting. You seem to hardly fit in your crib anymore.
You have finally started saying your name instead of just Bubba. To be honest though it is much cuter when you say Bubba than Nathan.
Lately you have two favorite fingers that you like to suck on.
At nap and bedtime the only song you will let me sing to you is the go to sleep song and it has to be sung to lamby.
I love how you stick out your tongue when you are concentrating on something.
I am obsessed with your cheek dimples.
You can count to 15 during hide and seek. It is so adorable when it is your turn to hide. Sometimes you will pick a spot in the corner and just look down. Other times you have actually found some really good hiding spots that Everett has a hard time finding you in.
I have decided that a two year old riding a scooter is just about the cutest thing ever. You love your scooter and are so good on it.
One afternoon we were at the duck pond riding our scooters and a storm was just about over us. You kept saying "let's get outta here." It was so cute.
I keep trying to treat you like my little baby but you are getting so grown up and definitely not a baby anymore.
Because Everett loves dinosaurs so much you have also learned the names of so many of them.
Another time at the duck pond you said "watch out gooses. We're coming" while on your scooter.
You love our new swing set and could swing all day long. I love when you close your eyes and say "I can't see I can't see."
That one time you hid in the foam pad for hide and seek and we could only see your little feet poking out.
You have a sixth sense and always know when one of us is sneaking a cookie from the cookie jar. It doesn't matter how quiet we are, somehow you always know and come running.
My belly is getting so big I can't cuddle with you anymore at nap and bedtime. It is breaking my heart. Just another month or so and I'll be able to have those sweet cuddles back.
You've started saying "I don't know." But you say it so fast it is like one word.
The first day Everett was at kindergarten while we were playing upstairs you asked "where did Everett go?" I said he was at school and you replied "I need him."
September
One of my favorite things was walking past your bedroom door after you had been tucked in and hearing you singing the paw patrol song to yourself.
Cute things you said this month: "ok mommy, that's a good idea." "I love you momma." After I asked you to keep eating your food "okie dokie!"
You are such a sweet tender boy. I love my goodnight hugs and when I say I love you, you always so it back in your sweet little whispering voice.
Once baby sister was born, overnight you grew up so much. You suddenly looked and acted so much older but you are still my little boy.
Another thing I noticed after Emily joined the family is just how thick you are. You are a brick. Much more dense than Everett ever was.
You are missing Everett during the day now that he has kindergarten most days.
Transitioning to no longer being the baby in the family has been a little rough. You seem very out of sorts. I have been trying my hardest to give you all of the extra loves I can.
At your two and a half year check up: 31 pounds 64%. 36 inches long 54%.
