Easter

We had Easter celebrations all month long starting with our church egg hunt. The actual egg hunt lasted about two minutes. It is amazing how quickly a few kids can pick up a few hundred eggs. My favorite part of it was listening to all of the primary kids singing songs inside before the egg hunt. They are so fun to watch and listen to. I am excited to watch how more involved in the singing and activities Everett will be as he gets older.
We dyed Easter eggs while Nana was in town. I wanted to color them using vegetables to get really beautiful colors but then I saw someone color brown eggs using the really cheap egg kits. So we colored them that way. Everett had more fun doing them himself and because of the brown eggs the colors still turned out beautiful.
Everett had a really fun egg hunt at preschool. Each kid brought an egg for everyone in the class and had all of their names written on them. This was such a fun way to collect the eggs. Everett had to find 12 eggs with his name on them. It made the whole thing last longer than a couple minutes and it was really cute to watch them help each other out.
Easter morning Everett was still getting over the stomach bug so we kept the day pretty relaxed. Nathan got to open and play with both Easter baskets which he thought was pretty fun. Papa taught Everett how to play hopscotch and it was the cutest thing watching them play together. Stephen and I were able to go to church without the kids and really enjoy being there with no distractions.
Easter is such a wonderful time of year. I love that it is during the middle of spring when the world seems its happiest. Easter is such a wonderful time to remember our Savior and all he has done for us. He lives so that we all may live again! What a beautiful reminder every year.
