Stephen and I celebrated our sixth anniversary on the 20th. We have done so much together in the seven years we have known each other. Sometimes it feels like it has flown by but in reality it has gone at the perfect speed. This year we were fortunate enough to go away together for two nights without the kids. With it being Easter weekend Stephen already had work off. Thankfully Nana and Papa were free and willing to come visit and watch the boys for us.
Every year for our anniversary we do temple sealings. I love reliving our wedding day and the promises we made to each other six years ago. The closest Temple to us this year was four hours away. Stephen found an amazing bed and breakfast a half hour from the Temple in Camden South Carolina. The name of it is the Bloombury Inn. It is a beautiful historic home. The owners were so friendly and such amazing hosts. The home was built in 1854 and sits on two acres of beautiful oak trees and flowering bushes. The song birds were constantly singing and the weather was perfect.
We loved driving down all of the streets picking out our dream homes. It was so relaxing walking around the yard and exploring the city and eating amazing meals three times a day. One of our lunches at a little sandwich place was paid for by one of the locals who lives there. We drove to a few revolutionary war historic spots which was very interesting to read about. Our favorite dinner was right on a huge pond and we were able to watch the birds fly in for the night and the alligators came out as it got darker.

While we were gone the boys did so well with Nana and Papa as far as being comfortable with them. Nathan got a stomach bug the first day we were gone. Then the day we came home Nana and Everett got it. Easter morning just Stephen and I went to church while Papa took care of the sickies. Everett had been throwing up the whole night before. This was his fist stomach bug. It was really sad to see him throwing up so much. I was really impressed by him because he threw up every time in the bucket that we had given him. Nana and Everett started feeling better Easter afternoon. That night Stephen and Papa got sick. It hit me last after Nana and Papa had gone back home.
It was still a wonderful anniversary. I am glad we weren't sick on our getaway. As miserable as it was all getting sick and being thrown right back into reality when we got back home, it was kind of nice. We love this little life we have created, even with the occasional stomach bug.
