November

Stephen's birthday was pretty simple this year. We got him a couple small gifts, cake, and decorations that Everett helped me make.
Stephen and I had a fun date night at little Washington. We ate at The Bank. We had been wanting to try it. It was a really nice evening so after dinner we walked on the water front for a little bit before heading home to the sitter.
It doesn't happen very often but I love when the boys come in our room in the mornings and read stories with us in bed. Stephen has been moonlighting a lot of Saturdays so this particular Saturday it was me with all three kids reading stories. It was a pretty perfect way to start the day.
With it being November and Thanksgiving I have been thinking a lot about what I am thankful for. One thing in particular this year I am thankful for is where we live. I love North Carolina. From the moment we moved here I honestly felt like I was moving home instead of moving to a new place. I will forever have a special place saved in my heart for North Carolina and the memories we have made here. It would be a dream to one day move back.
We took a daytrip to Raleigh and went to Costco. Then we found a fun playground and let the boys play for about an hour. Before heading home we stopped and got some ice cream.
One of my favorite memories that I will always cherish was driving around the neighborhood with the boys sitting in our laps looking at Christmas lights. Stephen and I couldn't help but think how much we will miss this when the kids are older. These years are exhausting but I wouldn't want life to be any other way. I love hearing the boys play and run around the house all day long sounding like a constant stampede. These years with little ones are so precious.
Stephen and I like to have some alone time with Emily after the boys go to bed. It is fun to watch her smile and cuddle with us.
I started working out from home but it only lasted about a week. It felt so good but I am struggling finding a good workout routine that I like.
It's fun seeing the leaves change colors. Everett collected some really pretty ones for our Thanksgiving dinner decorations.
