Wow September was a busy month. Stephen was crazy busy at work and when we did have family time we spent a lot of it exploring and having fun as a family. The most exciting thing that happened this month was Stephen turning in his residency application! It is such a relief having that finished and he already has a few interviews lined up which is amazing. We will know where he will be doing residency in March. Until then we are trying to soak up all we can of beautiful Georgia.
Labor day weekend we went golfing, played at our favorite park and did the hike there, bought fall scented candles, introduced Everett to the car shopping carts, and had a bbq at the park.
Some of the more simple things we did this month because slowing down and relaxing is so important was our our few trips to costco to enjoy all of the samples and watching the birds and hummingbirds outside on our porch eat their bird seed. We also planted a plant and put it on our balcony. I spent way too many days just relazing/napping in bed while Everett would nap, kind of letting the house go a bit.
Everett and I went to the Sandy Springs festival. It was the first time I have taken him somewhere like that all alone. I was really nervous about going but we had a great time. Everett loved the petting zoo.
We had a family date night at Avalon and ate at our favorite pizza place. It was one of those nights where the weather was perfect, there was a small breeze, and everything was just right in the world.
We spent a full day in North Georgia apple picking, visiting water falls, and eating dinner in Dahlonaga.
We went to the North Georgia State Fair and it was so much fun!
We had a playground fail once when I wasn't watching Everett for a second and he decided to walk down the rock wall and totally rolled/bounced his way down. We didn't stay at the playground much longer after that.
I discovered just how fun snapchat is to play around with. When Everett and I get bored we pull it out and have fun making faces.
Everett has started becoming a bit more shy around people and likes to always know I'm close by. He loved playing golf with Stephen and likes to help me cook dinner. For some reason he loves to sleep with his blanket over his head and his favorite book right now is all about trucks.
