Nathan 9 Months

Oh Nathan you are still the sweetest and you are starting to get a lot of personality.

Changing your bum and clothes is starting to be pretty difficult. You are too busy for that.

It took you a little while but you can now roll over both ways and you can easily sit up now from a laying position.

You have a tooth on the bottom coming in.

Your schedule is two naps a day and bedtime by 7:00 or earlier if you had a really short second nap.

You know that dad is home from work when you hear the garage door open. You get so excited when you see him.

Dad and Everett wrestle pretty rough and they have decided you are now old enough to join in on the fun.

Still eating solids. Doing better and better with them.

I have started nursing you a little less during the day since you started solids. It seems to be better this way.

You are wearing mostly 12 month clothes and some 9 month. You still weigh about 18 pounds.

When you got your flu shot you didn't cry. Your eyes watered though. I know you thought about crying.

Just like your brother you are already loving books. You like turning the pages back and forth. It is a fun little game for you.

You have not been a spitting up baby but this month you seemed to do it a lot.

You had your first sickness this month. It didn't last long but you wouldn't even smile in the mirror after bath. That is usually when I can get your biggest smiles. It was so sad knowing you weren't feeling well.

Oh my goodness the sleep regression this month was not fun. Honestly it really wasn't so bad but I had gotten used to getting more sleep again and then suddenly back to waking up multiple times a night.
You officially started crawling a couple days before Christmas!

November

I always love the month of November. I am always filled with an overwhelming sense of gratitude. The last few months of the year I always do a lot of reflection on where my life is at and what I am most thankful for. I have a lot to be thankful for this year. The number one thing being Nathan. He has brought so much joy into our lives. It is incredible the amount of love you can have for a baby. I am also so grateful for Stephen and Everett. The love I have for them is endless. My family is my entire world.
My family endured a lot of trials this year. So did Stephen's. I am so grateful for the miracles I have also witnessed this year and the strength of family love. I wish I could do more for those in my family, to help bring them comfort and strength in difficult times. Sometimes life just plainly isn't fair. I am so glad I have family and friends I can love and count on during those times.
November is also a really fun month because of Stephen's birthday. He turned 31 this year. We kept it pretty simple. Everett, Nathan, and I brought him some balloons and dessert waffles to work the day before his birthday to wish him an early happy birthday. We had presents and cake for him the day of and brought him breakfast in bed. After the kids were in bed we went to the Chef and the Farmer restaurant. It is such an elegant place. Everything on the menu looks incredible and what we did try was amazing.
