Projects

Stephen has always talked about how much he loves woodworking but I had never seen him done anything with it. One of the first things he got started on when we moved here was building a work bench and filling it with tools. He has done so many incredible projects already. I love our kitchen table that he built. It is my favorite thing we own in our house! Probably his biggest project so far was our desk. He built a huge desk for our upstairs. It fits perfectly in our office and he did such an awesome job. I may not like the long hours that are put in with each project but the outcomes are pretty amazing. 

Pool Days

It is hot in North Carolina! We don't pull the pool out nearly as often as we should but when we do Everett just loves it! It takes up a good hour of the day easily. The water is hardly cool at all because of how hot it is out but it still feels amazing. We even lucked out with enough shade in the yard that we aren't baking in the sun the whole time. Thanks nana and papa Peirce for such a fun birthday gift!

Endless Beach Days

We have been hitting up the beach as much as we can! Before residency started we were going once or twice a week. Our go to spot is at Fort Macon State Park. The parking lot is limited so it never gets super crowded. The beach is beautiful and the water is heavenly. Everett loves being in the water and playing in the sand. Any time we say anything about the beach he gets so excited that we might go. I have had to hide our beach bag because if he finds it he insists we go right then.
We have gone so much now that we can pack up the car and be gone within a half hour of deciding we want to go. By far our best investment was a beach umbrella. We are thinking of getting a second one for next summer. Having some shade all day makes such a huge difference. We like to bring gummy worms or chocolate licorice. And Everett loves eating chocolate pudding and go gurts there.
