Easter

"He is not here, for He has risen."
I cannot think of a more perfect season than spring to celebrate Easter. The blossoms and flowers everywhere, new leaves beginning once again, and the birds are all so happy with the warmer weather. I love knowing that this family of mine that I love so dearly will be together forever because of my Savior, Jesus Christ. What a beautiful gift he has given me. I truly feel his love daily because of my wonderful family who shows their love for me even when I may not be feeling it for myself. Jesus Christ lives and he truly does love each one of us. I am so grateful for my Savior. I love that we have this wonderful day to celebrate and be reminded of him and that He lives.

Our Easter highlights
Our first ward Easter egg hunt as a family. We had such a fun time and didn't even mind the rain.
Everett found two eggs and won a goody bag from the hunt.
Everett also met the Easter bunny and thought he was just the funniest thing ever. It was adorable!
The Easter bunny came Sunday morning and brought Everett a soccer ball along with other fun toys and books.
Stephen sang in the choir at church.
We celebrated Easter dinner with 4 other families and once again truly feel blessed by our ward family here in Atlanta.
Stephen and I watched finding faith in Christ after Everett went to bed.

Oakland Cemetery

Oakland cemetery is the oldest cemetery in Atlanta. It was founded in 1850 and is less than a mile from the heart of downtown Atlanta, a beautiful hidden gem.

February

Stephen and I celebrated Valentines Day a week early by spending the night at the Meridian hotel and were upgraded to a suite! For dinner we went to Maggianos. Grandma Carman was so nice to babysit Everett so that we could have a mini getaway.
We love when grandma comes to visit and while she was here she restocked our freezer again with homemade spaghetti sauce.
Stephen and I have been wanting to start eating healthier so we finally started using our ninja that we got for Christmas. We have the most delicious fruit and vegetable smoothies for breakfast now.
Finally got to see Star Wars! And yes it is now one of my favorite movies.
Lastly I became an Usborne Books consultant.

Everett: 10 Months

Little boy you are just hilarious. You have the funnest personality and I just wish I could memorize all of your facial expressions forever.
Your favorite place to poop is in your car seat which means mom always has to have a clean set of clothes when we go anywhere.
You have started taking your socks off in the car.
Having a cut lip is pretty common for you now.
This month the mystery of missing socks began. I can't find them anywhere.
Sleeping on your tummy continues to be your favorite position.
You learned to put yourself to sleep again for naps. The first day was a rough 12 minutes for both mom and you.
Brushing your teeth in the tub is so much fun.
Went to the swimming pool for the first time and loved it!
You like to play with and eat wipes but hate to have your face or your high chair tray wiped with them.
Not a fan of diaper changes, getting dressed, or lets be honest having to sit still anywhere. You've just got better things to do, places to play, things to climb on.
You will still sit with mom in the mornings after your bottle and read stories while rocking. Hopefully that will always be a favorite activity.
You had a couple night terrors this month which were scary and so sad.
You definitely aren't slowing down as you get older. You cruise along everything, are tall enough to reach anything, and never slow down until nap/bed time. You even wiggle all night in your sleep.
You like to have a toy ball in each hand while playing which hinders your climbing a bit.
You love dannon light and fit greek yogurt. Other greek yogurts your not a fan of.
While standing you sometimes have a wide stance, just like daddy.
Mom and dad wanted krispy kreme doughnuts one night and you screamed the entire way there and back. Just like the time we went there when you were just about a month old and you screamed that entire trip too. I guess you really don't like krispy kreme.
You will only take your bottle from mom now and are starting to get sick of them altogether.
Horsey rides from dad are the greatest.
3rd haircut.
First library card and still loves story time at the library.
Everett we say it every day all day long that you are such a cool kid. At story time, church, and the grocery store you just love to make friends and smile at people. Your smile is darling and you do this cute thing where you shrug your shoulders and act all bashful while smiling at someone. Getting you to laugh is the best. You think its funny when we blow our nose, you laugh at us when we eat spaghetti or any food/drink that makes a slurping sound. Sometimes you will just start laughing and we didn't do anything at all. I could watch you sleep all night long, you are just so peaceful and perfect. You are so curious by everything. I just love watching you play and figure new things out. Bath time continues to be your favorite. You still love being outside and enjoy watching the birds eat from the feeder. You love racing down the hallway for the ball. You could swing at the park all day long and be content. It has been so much fun watching you grow and change each month. Mom and dad just love you so much!
