Georgia so far

After spending 800$ to register our car we can officially consider ourselves Georgians. It has been 5 months in our new home and we so far are really loving almost everything. We really love living in Sandy Springs and feel very blessed with the ward that we are in. The members immediately made us feel welcome and we both have callings now. Stephen is the secretary in the young men's and so far he has gone on one camping trip with the boys and had a great time. I am on the activities committee in the relief society which has been a huge blessing for me. It has forced me to go to the activities and meet people and I have actually made a few friends because of it. This ward is definitely becoming our new family here.
The weather was hot for a couple months there but we didn't mind because we didn't get out much this summer anyway. It is starting to cool down quite a bit now and its perfect. I will miss the beauty here for sure when we leave but I do miss being able to watch the sunset every night and see the stars. I'd say Stephen's least favorite thing about Atlanta so far is still the traffic and we both cannot stand the crazy drivers. By far my least favorite thing are the water bugs (cockroaches). I would move back to the Utah dessert just to never have to see one of them again. But with the weather cooling down we will stop seeing them again until next summer supposedly.
A couple weeks ago we went on a short day hike at Morgan Falls park that is really close to where we live. I can't really call it a hike. It was more of a nice stroll through the trees but it was great to get outside for a bit. Hopefully we can get in a couple real hikes with the weather cooling down.
One of the more fun things we have done recently is another Brave's game! It was on a Monday night and tickets were super cheap so we got amazing seats. We bought Everett his first mini baseball bat and a little boy from the stands that caught a foul ball came over to us and gave it to Everett! It was the sweetest thing. The best part of the night was Stephen and Everett getting to be on the simbacam. I was so bummed though that my phone didn't record it. Luckily the people sitting next to us recorded it and sent me the video. When writing down just how great the game was it sounds like the perfect night. It would have been too if I had been in a better mood. I feel to guilty sometimes as a mom when Everett doesn't eat right when he needs to or take his nap right when he needs to. I don't like watching him cry so I try to always fix it. With that being said I was so worried about Everett not eating his bottle, not taking a nap, hearing the loud noises (even though we had earmuffs for him), and just being fussy at the game that I couldn't enjoy the night like I should have. It's one of the things I'm trying to work on as a new mom. Had my mood been better the game really would have been perfect. Even walking back to our car after the game we got to see the super moon and it was beautiful.

Watching the football game together.

Everett: 4 Months

You just continue to grow and grow.
At your 4 month checkup you were
 2'2" 90% for height and
14 pounds 10 ounces 25% for weight.
You are our tall skinny boy and we continue to love you more and more every day.
During your shots this time you hardly even cried and were so brave.
However there were still plenty of tears at your appointment because you were a hungry one.
We are so grateful too at how amazing your pediatrician is!
You are learning to grasp items better which means lots of pinches for mom and dad.
You have now found the TV and are mesmerized by it.
You just can't get enough of sucking on your hands.
Your still figuring out how to get toys in that mouth of yours but making good progress.
One of the cutest things you did this month was take a break from eating your bottle to give me a big milky grin.
Those cheeks of yours are getting more and more kissable and I just want to eat them up.
You may be tall and skinny but are definitely getting chunky.
Yay for starting to sleep through the night most nights!!
Your hair continues to get thicker and longer.
Being outside is still a favorite. You are so fascinated by the trees.
We just love how you are continuing to explore the world around you.
You are barely starting to giggle and smile all day long.
I've heard moms talk about that amazing baby smell and this month I noticed it, and love it!
For a few days at every nap you would talk yourself to sleep while I rocked you.
Your first cold hit this month. It was so sad you couldn't breathe for a few days.
The cutest thing you started doing this month was finding your feet and playing with them!
We've noticed that you don't just suck on your thumb and fingers, you chomp them also.
There is nothing more beautiful or special than watching you sleep.
Thank you so much Everett for being our little boy. We love you and are the luckiest parents!
