Everett: Fall

October:
After about two weeks in Mrs. Piners class you were able to move back to Mrs. Powers class and we were so happy about it.
I am so impressed by how quickly you are learning to read and write.
"Look mom, I made a Halloween Alexa."
"Backweirds" instead of backwards. I really hope you never start saying it correctly.
"Constructions" instead of instructions.
You got quite the scare while trick or treating when you reached into the bowl and the hand swung down on you. You jumped so much you spilled the whole bowl of candy.

November:
One day on the walk home from the bus you noticed someone's recycle bin had blown over. When we got home you grabbed a grocery bag and a glove and went back to their house to pick up all of the trash that had blown away.
You have a new favorite show and lego. Ninjago
We took you to Jiu Jitsu for the first time and you loved it! You are a real ninja now and love it so much.
You got all S's, satisfactory on your first assessments at school. We are so very proud of you!
You are such an adventurous boy. You are so creative with your art. I love watching you find different things you love. Like dinosaurs and ninjas.
You were so excited to see Santa. You talked about it all day asking when we were going to see him. You were nervous at first telling him what you want for Christmas but then got more comfortable when he started talking about paw patrol. When we got home there was a package that had a ninjago sticker book in it. Nana had sent it but she was ok that we told you it was an early gift from
Santa. Because you had just told him how badly you wanted something ninjago, you were so happy and I loved seeing how magical of a day it was for you.

December:
"Mom today is the greatest day." How come? "We are headed to jiu jitsu and I had a good day at school."
If you wake up before your green light comes on you think up stories until it comes on. You call them your dreams. Most mornings you will come in my room and tell me about them. One morning you told me about one with Santa missing your house on Christmas and paw patrol helping Santa. Then him getting to your house and bringing us all presents. Then you and bubba got to ride in his sleigh and meet all of the reindeer.
Loved every minute of the movie The North Pole. It was so fun watching you watch it.
The smile on your face after you make a snowflake.
You have a new laugh and it sounds so forced but I love it. Dad says you started it because of all the times I fake laugh at things you kids do.
"Mom you have lines on top of your head like master Wue." Talking about my wrinkles on my forehead.
It was so fun watching how magical this holiday season was for you.
You loved every minute of Disney World. I don't think you will ever forget the dinosaur restaurant and how amazing it was.

Nathan: Fall

October:
Cute things you said:
"It's just me." after hiding under the bin.
Every time you drop something, "Oh don't worry I got it."
You asked me where the markers are. We were heading out the door to get some lunch so I told you I'll grab them when we get home. You replied in a stubborn little voice "We are home!"
"Daddy's mowing the lawn. When I get older I'll be a daddy."
"Wait a second. What is that?" while I was looking at a toy magazine.
You have the sweetest little voice that I love so much. Not very often though your batman deep voice still comes out and surprises us all. It is hilarious.
I love it when you give Emily lamby to hold. You love your baby sister so much.
Because of me not realizing how quickly you were growing you went from 2T clothes to 4T clothes.
I love it when you hum to yourself.
It was so cute when you started handing out some of your own candy to trick or treaters.

November:
You are having a really hard time lately. Ever since we moved you into your big boy bed. You are getting less sleep in the mornings and taking shorter naps. You are so cranky and upset for no reason so much of the day. I think you are struggling having a new sibling in the house too.
You gave Everett the sweetest hug at the aquarium.
My heart melts a little more every time you say something in your sweet little voice.
Cute things you said:
"We saw nakes at the aquarium."
Bubba on a scooter. "Through the jungle through the jungle. Weeee."
"Nail" instead of snail.
"Poon" instead of spoon.
"Noman" instead of Snowman.
Singing a song on our way to Target. "We are going to target, we are going to target, to look at the paw patrol toys."
When driving around the neighborhood looking at Christmas lights your favorite was when we saw the elves.
For a little while I started cutting your naps down to one hour every day in hopes that you would finally start sleeping through the night again and sleep in longer in the mornings. It didn't help.
You liked visiting Santa. You asked him for construction trucks and paw patrol toys for Christmas. You got very excited when he knew the names of the paw pups.
Your favorite toys these days are anything with a hook or a claw.
You are definitely my wildest child. You run around the house with scissors in your hands. You jump off the couch and land on your butt thinking it will be just as soft as the bounce house. You are just a little two year old who is loving and living your best life, very dangerously.

December:
Things you said:
"Santy" instead of Santa
"Twuck with a cwaw" (claw)
Look at that big truck Nathan. "Actually it's an excavator."
I was in the kitchen making something and you came in and said "You're the best momma."
"Will you carry me momma." This is said multiple times daily. And I don't mind one bit carrying you anywhere you want to go. Having a new baby sister in the house is making you need a little more attention.
While dropping Everett off at school. "By by Everett boy. We love you Everett boy."
"It's gonna be awesome!"
While I am making cinnamon rolls. "That looks like dog poop" me "yum" your response "not yum."
"I can't wait mommy I can't wait." for our trip in the car when you woke up.
Playing I spy in the car. Everett took a guess at what Nathan was spying. "No, but good question."
On our trip at Disney world you were happiest when you were sleeping. You weren't tall enough for most of the rides which made it not very fun. While we were at lunch one day you took a big lick of chili peppers even though we told you multiple times not to. You were very sad.
Nathan you continue to be the sweetest little boy. Our love for you grows more and more every day.
