July

July was hot. So hot!
The most exciting thing that happened this month was our new swing set! I never thought we would be a swing set family. But never say never, especially in 2020. It has been our greatest little investment. Everett is strong enough to swing on his own now and we put strings on Nathan's swing so that we don't have to constantly standing to help push him.

We took the boys blueberry picking. It was hot but fun. While we were picking them Everett said "being a farmer is hard" and Nathan while picking said "it's a nice day."

We went to the beach every weekend which was amazing. Nathan was not a fan of the water the first few weeks going. He warmed up a little bit eventually and would have fun when dad was holding and playing with him in it. Everett loves playing in the water. Some weeks the water was so calm and Everett would stay in it almost the whole day. I enjoyed being able to dig a hole in the sand for my baby belly and actually be able to lay on my stomach for a while. Most weekends we ended up going on Sunday which was really nice. We listen to church music on the drive there and back. It is nice quality family time together. When we get home we have a little church service at home and then have dinner.

Nana came to visit for a week and I am realizing that I never take pictures when family is in town to document. The boys had the best time playing with her and getting a few new fun toys.

The boys are loving their new scooters. We take them out almost every day to the duck pond or the walking trails.

Stephen cleaned all of the windows in the house one Saturday inside and outside. He was been so sweet helping out extra since I am slowing down quite a bit from this baby. He has officially started his last year of residency. It is bitter sweet knowing from here on out every month is us getting closer to leaving NC. We have loved our North Carolina home but are anxious and excited for our future.

Fourth of July

We originally had big plans for this fourth of July. We were first going to watch the fireworks in Washington DC. Then those plans fell apart when we decided to go to Utah to visit family. We love the fourth of July with family so that was exciting too. Then those plans didn't happen because of Covid. We made the most of our day anyway and had a great day.

We bbq'd steak and made an amazing chimichurri sauce to go with it. We went out for ice cream at the creamery. Then some friends had us over for dessert and fireworks. Everett had such a great time, especially with all of the sparklers. Nathan was not amused by the fireworks and was quite afraid.
