August

What a crazy summer it has been. Starting out in Utah for a month and a half, then Atlanta for 3 weeks, then DC for a month. Stephen started the summer in Utah, then to Chicago, back to Utah, then Atlanta and lastly to DC. We are exhausted from a long busy summer. Our first week back Stephen had work off which was amazing. We went to a braves game and settled back in at home. Everett got a new haircut and every time we cut it he looks older and older. He is so much fun these days. He knows what most things are in the house and is really good about finding something when we tell him to go get it. It amazes me how well he will pick up on things. He really is so intelligent. His newest toys are a mini golf set and his very own pots and pans set and broom which he loves. His new way to fall asleep is with a blanket over his head. He gives the sweetest kisses in the world. They used to be open mouthed and very wet but Stephen taught him to close his mouth when he kisses. We just love him so much.

Washington DC Week 4

And just like that our stay in DC has ended. It was a fun month but we are so happy to be back home.
Everett and I took the metro into town twice on our own. One day we went to the butterfly exhibit at the natural history museum and the next day we went to the air and space museum.
Our last night in DC we went to a red skins game.
The route we took home through Virginia was beautiful and so historic and North Carolina was so fun with all of the wild flowers lining the freeway. We mostly listened to NPR and podcasts which kept Everett asleep for almost the entire drive. His snoring and bare feet poking up were adorable.
Fall is definitely in the air and I am loving it!
